radishes and apples

I painted this a few months ago but decided to post it again because I really like it. I think it is still available. It is in an interior shop in Tuscaloosa, AL. I felt like the radishes were as pretty as flowers so I highlighted them in a vase. This is painted on an 11 x 14" gallery wrap canvas.
Question for you bloggers out there. If you mention an artist's name in your blog, how do you highlight it so that the viewer can go directly to the site?
There is a buzz in the air in our area because we are supposed to get snow. A rarity for us. Lots of fun if the power stays on.

  1. Hi Carol, Lovely radishes- great colors on them and the apples.
To answer your question about the linking an artist name in a post-
When you are in the post box, just to the left of where the picture option is...there is a LINK option. Have the artist's name highlighted and then click on link. It will ask you for the URL for the place you want the link to go. Type that in and then check it. If it works and goes to the link you want then you did good!
Hope this helps. Stay warm- we are getting snow also:(

  3. Love the colors and composition! Very creative thinking with the radishes. Is it snowing there yet-it looks like on the radar it might be. I may have two boys in and out sledding tomorrow. Snow pics to paint!!

  4. Hi, Carol, I just discovered your blog from a comment you made on Lisa Daria's, and I think your paintings are absolutely beautiful! I love your color choices and your lovely loose brushwork. "Paint Me," the dog painting from a couple of posts ago, is adorable. In your "Vegetable Medley" post you mentioned starting to use bigger brushes; do you mind my asking what sizes you used on that, and what brand? I'm just starting back with oils and looking for some good advice.
BTW, we also are looking forward to waking up tomorrow to a snowy landscape. Still just messy, icy rain right now ...

  5. This was worth the re-post and I see that Kathy gave you the info about the link. Just highlight the artist's name before you click 'link' and it will automatically attach to the highlighted name.

  9. I am quite impressed by the water in the glass and how both radishes and apples have so much water in them. A goofy thing to pick up on, I suppose, but I like that rhythm in this piece. Not to mention how beautifully painted it is!
