 This is a commission a long time friend is giving her husband. (also, a long time friend)  The young boy standing on the dock is her husband and the other boys are his brothers.  The gentleman standing in the boat is the Dad. I really like the way they are all looking to the left and the great light.  The dad recently passed so hopefully this will be a reminder of the good times they spent.  This is painted on a 24 x 36" canvas.

 Another beauty from my recent beach trip.  This was a second group of cattle that fortunately did not run from me. Love painting white cows.  I actually did a bit of surgery on this cow.  He had horns that were short and kind of broken so I chose not to paint them.  Resculpted the head a bit and voila.....male into female. Think I would have to do some more surgeries to make that happen.

 I took this photo a couple of weeks ago on my way to the beach.  The cows ran from me when I got out of the car. ( Maybe it was the grill I was carrying?) Yes.  I am kidding.

 This is a commission I did for my cousin.   Joanna is a recent Auburn University graduate, a marketing director, and engaged to be married.  Still loves her Daddy and this is his father's day gift.  It is painted  on an 8 x 10" linen panel.

 I had to make a house call to my friends home to take a mug of her pug.  She kept sending me pictures of him with his eyes closed. He is a sleepy dog. field trip

 Blossom and Bentley are the treasured shih tzus of the commissioner (Gaye) of this painting.  I met Gaye at the Art on the Lake show last year and this year she came prepared with pictures of her pooches.  She labeled the photos "field trip" and I think that is a perfect name for this painting.  She is a teacher so you can understand her terminology.  This is painted on a 24 x 24" canvas.  Hope it brings her happiness for years to come.sold

 I took this photo at the Lake Martin art show.  I could see the beach area from my booth so that was a bonus.  The sun was directly above the boy and it made nice highlights.  This is painted on a 10 x 10 x 1 1/2" canvas.
