moving on
Lets just pretend it went well when I photographed this today. This is big for me. 24" x 24". I have a hard time photographing big paintings. Wait...I have a hard time photographing small ones too.
These geese were visiting Lake Junaluska this Fall. They thought I might have something for them so they were walking (do geese walk?) right up to me . Most of the birds who visit, don't leave because they have a good thing going. People feed the ducks, geese and swans all day long. Lake Junaluska is too small for skiing and watersports so it's all about the view and birds. I like that.SOLD

Oh these are great too Carol! You really handled the colors well in the "white" feathers. Just beautiful and so full of life!
ReplyDeleteAhh . . . it looks like the swans have companions! This painting of geese is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could see this in person! Your whites are amazing. Love it!
ReplyDeleteCarol, this is laugh out loud wonderful, whimsical and fun. What an awesome job you did! The composition is outstanding and that is what makes it whimsical...You caught them with an attitude and somewhere to go for sure. This might just be a favorite!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and the angle this was painted from, I feel like I am right in the path of these determined geese on a mission, great painting.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the reflected light in the whites. Love the movement too!

ReplyDeleteHow fun! I love the reflected light on their underbellies. Just great.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous gaggle and they look to be on a mission! Beautiful work and a perfect piece for going large. (And I have a heck of a time photographing the art pieces. I've come to the I don't care place with that part of the process.)
ReplyDeleteI think that they waddle ;) Love this one and the back lighting must look wonderful in person, love also your swans from the previous post.
ReplyDeleteI think the yellow happy face grew up, got sophisticated and stylish and became this painting. :)
ReplyDeleteYou guys are great. Thanks so much for your kind feedback.
ReplyDeleteThere is so much personality in these geese. Love it

ReplyDeleteLove these geese, Carol. I think the angle is very dramatic - just like you are nose to nose with them.
ReplyDeleteLove the light, composition, and the lively chatter I hear throughout your painting!
