that's amore
I have always wanted to paint a highland cow and a patron from England gave me the perfect photo to work from. He and his girlfriend took this picture in Scotland last summer and he surprised her with the painting for Christmas. I feel so honored to be a part of bringing others happy moments.
I felt like I was peeking in a cows bedroom the whole time I painted this. It would be the perfect cover for a cow romance novel. This is painted on an 11 x 14 x 2" canvas.

joy
Hope you all had a merry Christmas. I did and have enjoyed spending lots of time with family. I am anxious to get back to painting.
This is a Christmas surprise my friend commissioned. The little one is her grand daughter and she had it painted for the parents. This is painted on an 8 x 10" linen panel.

cumberland island
A friend commissioned me to do this for her "man" friend. They spent a fun time at Cumberland Island last year and she wanted me to try and capture some of it's beauty. I have always admired the shapes and colors in marshes and this gave me a great opportunity to paint a scene. This was painted on an 11 x 14" linen panel.

Loner
I have been very busy painting but have not been able to post because they are Christmas surprises. I took a little time to do this 4 x 12 x 2" calf. This format is really fun to work with.
The Mt Brook Holiday show is ongoing until December 19th. See the card from my previous post for the details.

I painted this 22 x 28 x 2" painting yesterday as a demo at the Mt Brook Art Association's Holiday show. The show is continuing until the 19th of December. Different club members work the show so go in and check it out if you are in the area. Details are on the card in my last post. Bring your wallet.sold
