This is painted on a 5 x 5" cradled panel. Fun to do a quick painting after some time consuming large ones.
I want to introduce you to one of my Birmingham friends who is new to the blogging community.
David Nichols is a very accomplished artist that I have had the pleasure of knowing for a couple of years. He was set up across from me at the very first art show I participated in. He helped relieve some of my first show nerves. He is as kind as he is talented. He does a wide variety of work so I feel sure you will enjoy following his blog.

ReplyDeleteI checked out David Nichols' blog and he is fantastic! It's going to be fun to follow him. :-)
I just love these geese- love the way that you paint them with wonderful colors for all the whites...This one does have that attitude- hard to capture and you did it well.
ReplyDeleteI am excited to see David starting his blog- I added him to my blog roll then. I love his work and yes as nice as he is talented!
This makes me miss our KJ group!

ReplyDeleteI love this guy Carol! Great thick paint on the black support adds to the story.
ReplyDeleteSo perfect in every way!!
ReplyDeleteGoosie goosie gander, whither shall I wander...upstairs or downstairs or in my lady's ... (I forget the last word, believe it or not! LOL) That old nursery rhyme comes to mind. Another gorgeous goose, Carol!
ReplyDeleteI am really enjoying your geese series. Hope you have many more photos to work from.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful series! I'm sure you are enjoying painting them!
ReplyDeleteGreat piece. I really like singular subject pieces. You have to make em special and you did with color and texture. Thank you for mentioning my blog. I look forward to more sharing.
ReplyDeleteYour goose paintings are SO great! Very nice work. Color harmony, brushwork, composition.. all exceptional. I also appreciate the subject matter being I had a few white ducks as a kid. I know these are geese but it still reminds me of my childhood pets.
ReplyDeleteSo much beautiful work here, this one really caught my eye!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it. The white is white and it works so well.
ReplyDeleteI would complain and fret till the other person would feel miserable. One day while I was at my writing desk, I requested my husband to make tea; the tea I got was warm, not hot. At first I had this urge to complain and fret as always and leave the tea as I enjoy my evening tea hot. boy status
