ta da

This is a commission piece. I met this cute couple at the Fairhope show and they bought "banjo boy". She really liked my kids on the beach but wanted to see if I could paint from some of her photos. This is number one. It was a great photo to work from because of his body language and lots of strong light. This is painted on an 8 x 10" amperstand panel. Great way to start the day!

  8. Carol, I love how you captured the instability of this little one...it reads just age right...so hard when painting children. Well done girlfriend!

  9. J'aime la manière que vous vous êtes appropriée votre sujet... Il y a une grande émotion qui se dégage de cette peinture. La lumière et l'harmonie des couleurs sont superbes... Nul doute, c'est une oeuvre qui devrait ravir les parents...

  10. Great painting. I love how you conveyed the bright light at the beach, and the composition, and the way you did the hat, and how he looks like he's contemplating his next move!

  11. This is an amazing piece, Carol! I love the composition, the light, and the perfect little one with his shovel. I'm waiting for him to take that shovel and knock that sand pail pile to smithereens! (After all, that is what I would do! LOL)
