I guess I am in my cow period. I saw this beauty in a field of high grass and flowers. Love spring with all the new leaves, flowers and green grass. Sorry about you folks who are still having winter. Won't be long now.
I am headed to New Orleans to visit with my son so I bet I will return with new ideas. Maybe no more cows for a bit.
I painted this cow on an 11 x 14" linen canvas. It is very cloudy out today so I am not sure this photo does the painting justice.sold
I love your cows and this is not exception, the light on him is fabulous! Have a fun trip!
ReplyDeleteThey are all nice work, the whole herd. Wish spring would get here to Washington ....
ReplyDeleteLovely painting, Carol! I love the halo effect the cow has in this lush setting.
ReplyDeleteI bet he's enjoying that lush grass, he seems to be looking very happy to me, Like the loose way you paint a hard thing to achieve.
ReplyDeleteYou are really good with palette knife ! Also, I love the expression on the cow's face :)
ReplyDeleteI love the way the cows try to get a bead on what WE're up to when we're looking at them! I like the off-center composition, too!
ReplyDeleteLove your cows...the light shining through the ears is such a fun detail.
ReplyDeleteThis is may favorite- full of fun and light and love the little flowers in the bottom! Man these cows are so good! Have fun with son # 1, 2 or 3? :) Take care!!
ReplyDeleteNow this is one gorgeous cow and she is delightfully framed by her natural habitat. Love the new grasses and new flowers too and I'm sure she is making the most of the spring herself.
ReplyDeleteLove this cow phase you're in. They are always painted so well, with so much personality. You really captured the curiosity in this one!
