Trying to return to normalcy after a scary and heart breaking couple of days. My state of Alabama has had over 200 people killed in the outbreak of tornados that passed through April 27. I was in south Alabama watching the mile wide tornado heading toward Tuscaloosa on TV. I have lived in Tuscaloosa off and on for eighteen years of my life so I knew it was headed right toward where my son and many people live. The path of the tornado missed my son's ramshackle rental house by a block. A very frightening three hours that I could not get in touch with him. He is okay but so many others aren't. The tornados hit fairly impoverished areas in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham. They need your prayers and support. Don't mean to just single out Alabama. So many other states were affected.

Glad to hear he is safe and thinking about everyone in the damaged areas.ReplyDelete
So glad to hear you are safe! I was thinking about you and wondering if you had family in Tuscaloosa. It must have been horrible not being able to get in touch with your son. My prayers are with Alabama, as well as all the other states affected. Beautiful title for a beautiful painting.ReplyDelete
This is a beautiful painting, Carol . . . and the title is so touching. Its somewhat like comfort food. My thoughts and prayers are with all those who lost homes and family members.ReplyDelete
I'm also sending my thoughts and prayers to those who lost family, friends and homes in the paths of the tornados.ReplyDelete
Carol, this is a warm and beautiful painting.ReplyDelete
Sorry to hear you had such a scare about your son. I am continuing my prayers and sympathy for the tragic events in Alabama.
Beautiful painting. Praying for Alabama. So glad you and your family are okay.ReplyDelete
We had a scary night too, in rural NC about 30 miles from the storm with no information coming our way. So happy yours are safe and share your pain for the people effected. It seems the weather and other natural disasters are getting stronger every day.ReplyDelete
Love the painting, sorry I got side tracked.
I am so glad that you and your family are safe and sound. My prayers go out to those who have lost family and homes.ReplyDelete
Wonderful painting...so glad to hear your loved ones are safe. I have been praying for those suffering in this disaster. Do you know if any fundraisers have been organized yet? Maybe we could do one on the fresh daily painters site.ReplyDelete
Lovely painting, Carol and fitting theme for the terrifying events in the South this past week! So glad you and your family are safe!!ReplyDelete
Oh my goodness. You have been in my thoughts. Bless you all.ReplyDelete
I echo all of the above and glad you are safe. I cannot imagine what happened down there. Will continue to pray.ReplyDelete
I am so glad to hear that your son is safe and I am just as heartbroken for all the damage, destruction, and loss of lives this series of tornadoes has done and taken. I cannot even imagine what all of these victims of the tornadoes are feeling but I share their fears and worries right along with them.ReplyDelete
Sticking Together is a wonderful message and these pears are beautiful!
