big bag

This woman was an attention getter in Siena, Italy. She was decked out in the finest from her head to her toes. I was surprised she could stand so upright because her bag was so large.
I have mentioned before that we did not see many dogs while in Italy. So curious because in the states we take our dogs everywhere. Some of the breeds looked a bit different too. Not sure what this dog was besides shaggy.
My life is beginning to get more hectic. I have sold my house and am about ready to start my new one. That means lots of distractions from painting for the next year. I am going to make a determined effort to fit painting in. I forgot that when you move you have to pack and unpack.
This is painted on an 8 x 10" gallery wrap canvas.

  2. Yeah, I don't get the big handbags. What do they carry in there???? Maybe another dog....
I don't envy you the move. I'd rather paint. In the end, though, I hope you'll be thrilled with your new home. Will you have a wonderful studio?

  4. Quick sale on the house...congrats. Can you stay until your new house is finished? Ugh, hope you don't have to move twice. Love this new painting from Italy!

  5. I really like this painting. The contrast between the static man and the energy in the woman is what strikes me. I see that a lot in my house if you know what I mean!

  6. I always love moving. 'Course now that I'm older it isn't quite as exciting as it used to be for me. Mostly because of having to work and having fibromyalgia. Makes things tougher. I love this piece and wish I could look half as pulled together!

  7. Really wonderful- I love the man's bald head and his sense of patience:) Agree that the woman is on the go and an attention getter. That is interesting about dogs over there. Best of luck on the building and getting a new studio...will be amazing!!!

  10. I love purses, the bigger the better and this one, along with all the other elements is perfect! The one good thing about moving is the packing and the purging that goes along with it.
