This is one of those commissions that I kind of had to toil over but I am happy with the out come. My patron is giving this to her boyfriend as a surprise birthday gift. Judge is a boykin spaniel and apparently always has this ball in his mouth. At first I was thinking" really, you want a ball in his mouth?" I think it turned out to be a really fun painting. She could always get a more formal painting of Judge done another time. I love being part of people's surprise gifts. Life is good! This is painted on an 8 x 10" gallery wrap canvas.
