This is the third and final commission piece for my friend Jeanne. This is her youngest daughter Jessie when she was a toddler. I feel a great since of accomplishment at the moment because I was concerned I would not be able to pull off a likeness. This has turned out to be one of my personal favorites. Thanks Jeanne for unknowingly pushing me beyond my comfort zone. This is painted on an 8 x 10" linen panel.

ReplyDeleteAnother one of your beautiful paintings. You captured such a sweet look on her face.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet face entirely engrossed in that flower. Well done, Carol!
ReplyDeleteJessie is gorgeous, Carol. Truly a beautiful piece and I know your friend Jeanne will be thrilled.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet. The position of her shoulders is so typical of that age holding something delicately. Kudos on the looseness.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely darling. I want to squeeze those little cheeks!
