I love this lady. I was able to get several shots of her because she held this pose for a few minutes. She was looking out over Dorchester Bay in south Boston. I still have lots of photos from Boston that I want to paint but I need to take a break and catch up with commission work. This one is painted on a 24 x 24" gallery wrap canvas.sold
Wonderful painting- just the way you have composed her makes you interested and wonder what she is thinking! I hope good thoughts and you did a fine job on this one. Gorgeous skin tones!
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful piece in this series Carol!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pose and painting Carol. Looks like a few ladies I know!
ReplyDeleteAnother beauty in this series! She has such a pensive stance. Wonder what she is thinking?
ReplyDeleteI love this lady too! You have captured an intriguing pose on this woman. I also like how you've handled the water -- that's just how it looks in Dorchester. Really nice, Carol!
ReplyDeletegros bisous
Oh to dip my toes in the water. Beautiful piece, Carolyn.
ReplyDeleteI keep coming back to this one... just love it! I like this whole series. The postures, the friendships, the fact that they still enjoy the summer and the sea... These are great stories you are painting.
ReplyDeleteCarol, these beach lady paintings are great. The overcast conditions really add to the mood. Your figures are wonderful and really tell the story.
ReplyDeleteLove this Southie lady, Carol! You got just the perfect pose!
ReplyDeleteTerrific figurative work Carol. And I really love how you've placed the figure into the painting. The sense of balance is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLoving this series of "bathing beauties"!!!
ReplyDeleteCarol, Everything about this painting is so appealing. Love the composition - the solitary figure in contemplation! Colors are great and I think it's a perfect size. Wonderful!
