Wanted to paint something cool today. It is really, really hot. At least the ground is not moving. I had to laugh at the west coast poking fun at the east coast over their reaction to the earth quake. Enough with the crazy weather.
This is painted on an 8 x 16" gallery wrap canvas. I guess this makes the fifh in a series of my Boston ladies.

Love this one! Looks like some big decision making going on with these three. Each one is fabulous! Love the reflections! You an paint friend:)
ReplyDeleteYes on the crazy weather- ready for cooler weather so I can paint plein air...even I can't do these 107 heat indexes.
Nice, Carol....really, really nice!!
ReplyDeleteLove your composition as usual. The wet sand color is hard to get. You did great. The lady on the far left looks like she's trying to catch her breath from the cold water. I don't know how you did that so simply and small!!!
ReplyDeleteThe ladies are very cool and the water is terrific! Nice job.
ReplyDeleteOops, I mean the lady on the far right. :-)
ReplyDeleteExtremely hot here yesterday too (98). I'm sick of summer already. Glad to see a return of the bathing beauties. Excellent work on sand and water too!
ReplyDeleteGreat composition! I love the diagonal of the water line. Love these ladies!
ReplyDeleteOur weather prediction is for 108 this weekend! I don't remember anything like this drought.
I just love this series of Boston ladies! You have such a special touch with them! So simple and yet they say so much! Being from Boston and living on the beach, these are my favorite subjects to paint!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the design and attitude of this one!
