High five everybody! I painted a commission piece with no stomach or head ache. And no curse words! This is the fifth painting I have done for this family. I met the Sams at the Fairhope art show last Spring. I have painted each of their three children individually on the beach. This is a gift for my friend/patron's daughter. The toddler in the painting. (oh, she's not a toddler anymore) Somebodys going to be happy.
I love the happy look on Kathryn's face. Really highlights her lovely cheekbones. This is painted on an 11 x 14" linen canvas.
Lets hope I'm on a roll.

ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! Love the way you painted Tucker with the palette knife work and his beautiful eyes. Hope you don't mind but I've tagged you for a challenge that Carrie Waller created. It's best explained on Virginia Floyd's blog.
