Had a great time in Nashville. Always fun to stay with and visit my friend Elizabeth. I met lots of new artist friends too. One of them is the reason I reworked this painting a bit. Vicki Sawyer is a kind and very talented artist who had to stare at this painting for a couple of days. She very delicately told me that she loved the content but not so much the background. She gave me some suggestions that made for a better painting. I love that. This is painted on an18 x 24" linen canvas.
Please excuse the glare.
Would you mind sending Vicki down here to give me some pointers. Really could use a good critique! Love how this turned out, smashing background color!ReplyDelete

Enjoyed hearing about your show in Nashville. Glad you had a good time. Vicki is a wonderful artist and the dark background looks great! The fun of being with other artist is learning from each other.ReplyDelete
You've managed to fit just about all of your beloved pots into this one - excellent! Love the how the background picks out the purple in the veggies - it often pays to have a fresh pair of eyes give you some feedback. Great work Carol!ReplyDelete
