I took the photo of this horse on my way home from Nashville a couple of weeks ago. I spotted him right after I crossed the Alabama state line. There was an exit and an access road very close. It takes me a while to get anywhere. Glad I stopped. This is painted on a 20 x 20" canvas.sold
I'm always impressed with anyone who even attempts to paint a horse...first one you say...wow, impressive!
ReplyDeleteLove this, I can feel the sunshine on the horse and the field, and that is something because we haven't had sunshine here in a while!
ReplyDeleteWow, first one? Carol . . . you are so good!
ReplyDeleteWonderful reds and browns just glow from the sunshine! I love horses and you painted this one so well!
ReplyDeleteCarol,
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing painting. Love the way the path of light comes in and hits the grasses and the horse. Beautiful range of colors and temperatures in the foliage!
Amazing but not surprising as you can really paint cows:) Love the light in this one. Wonderful abstracty hay and background let the horse just shine. Wonderful musculature...great job!
ReplyDeleteI like the way the horse has his head turned back, you painted it well, but to me the gesture of the animal is what makes this a great painting.
ReplyDeleteIt is a wonderful pose for the horse. So often they are static. The bright pops of color and the abstract surroundings are also appealing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Carol! I can feel that horse flicking the flies away!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Love the blue reflective lights.
ReplyDeleteThe design grabs your eye even as a thumbnail, I love it

ReplyDeleteWow...fantastic light, Carol!
ReplyDeleteI love it! The light effect is awesome. I'm drawn to the shadow color on the side of his head. Just beautiful!
