resilience

I took the photo I used as a reference for this painting the day after the tornados ravaged across my state and others. This beautiful dog was waiting for his owner in the back of a truck. I equate the look on his face to the resolve the folks across the southern states are showing now. So many people have lost everything and when interviewed show such courage and faith. We need to do everything we can to help them. I am going to give the proceeds from this painting to the agency that I feel is giving the most back to those suffering from the tornado. I am too busy to make that decision and set anything up now. I have to pack up for a three day art show in Nashville. If you have any good ideas about how I should set up an auction or something, leave a comment or e mail me. This is painted on a 16 x 20" gallery wrap canvas. Tell all your lab loving friends to check it out. I may buy it myself.

The art show I am participating in is the Harding Academy show . Come see me if you are in the area.

  1. He is great Carol! His eyes do tell a story. I am so sad for all the people who have tragically lost everything and some their lives.
Good luck with the Harding Show. Say hello to my friend and Marilyn Wendling!

  9. Wonderful. I want to bid. Don't know how and may not have time to figure it out. Best wishes with the Harding Show. Am curious about the charity you choose in Alabama. Please let me know which you think is most helpful.

  11. Love it! Can't wait to hear how Harding goes. I was also thinking of auctioning something to raise funds. I bet there are others who would like to as well. Wonder if we could pool a few paintings and our efforts together and publicize a group? We can chat next week when I see you.
