drifting away

This is the third time I have painted from this photograph of my brother in law. He received the first painting . This time I painted it on a 24 x 36" gallery wrap canvas. I am preparing for "Art on the Lake", a two day show at Lake Martin over Memorial day weekend. 15% of the proceeds go to Children's Harbor, an organization that provides resources for families of children with serious illnesses. Children's Harbor facilities and camp were damaged by the tornados that passed through our state so they need the money now more than ever.
On another note, I have decided to take the painting of the yellow lab "resilience" to my vet and see if they will display and sell it with proceeds going to the Red Cross Tornado Relief fund. So much destruction in our area that clean up and rebuilding is going to take years.

  1. Blue float tube and blue water but you really did a super job of differintiating the color. Well done!

  4. Love his expression, Carol. This is a gorgeous piece and I'm not sure if this one will go to your BIL as well or if it is for the Children's Harbor benefit. Either way it is perfect! I hope the Lab sells too. You are so giving!

  5. A personal favorite of mine, and I'm impressed with the larger sizes you are using now. Know the sale will bring much help for a very needy cause.
