Only had an hour to paint today. So much going on. Got unpacked after my art show in Fairhope. Sold a good many paintings at the show but still have lots for my next three shows between now and the end of May. Love my new tent. A trim line tent that I bought from the Flourish company based in Arkansas. Now I need to buy a kettle corn popper to attract people to my tent. I was making fun of people buying the corn but I bought some every day. Good stuff.
Headed to a friends lake home for the day. Hope to get some good pictures.
This is beautiful, Carol! Love the color and light. Also really like your painting for Japan relief . . . the composition and shimmery path. Sounds like you had quite a fun adventure!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you had a successful show last weekend...and wow, three more shows, that's only for the hardy! Love this new still life, you are a master of pears!
ReplyDeleteCarol,
ReplyDeleteI love how you took a bit of yellow from the pear and put on the flower so that both objects are, as Jill Carver says, "having a conversation with each other."
Some time paintings just come together. Very nice one hour painting you got there. Everything looks very solid and has great depth. I like!!
ReplyDeleteAnd what a very productive hour you had here Carol. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteCarol, your sense of composition is wonderful!

Carol,
ReplyDeleteReally like this one. Your pears are always so good:) Love the pink blossoms. Glad the show went well and you are tent happy! Hope you had fun at the lake- hot here yesterday:):)
Your compositions are always so beautiful! Love the dramatic lighting in this one.
ReplyDeleteSounds like your show was a hit! Congrats on the sales. Busy girl! I'll have to remember the Kettle Corn trick. ;)
Gosh Carol, it's amazing what you can do in a hour. This is a beautiful painting and very well executed. Love your brushstrokes and the blossoms really bring out the pear with the colors bouncing off of each.
ReplyDeleteThis painting is just wonderful. Love the way yellow, pink and purple matched together.
ReplyDeleteA one hour of sheer delight. I love this one, Carol. A perfect little bud vase, so delicately displaying these little buds.
ReplyDeleteHi, Carol. I'm visiting my daughter in Vestavia. Would love to get together tomorrow while the babies are napping. Will you let me know if you can. She's on Hickory Road.
ReplyDeleteHey suzanne. I will be around this afternoon and weekend. E mail me at carolcarmike@att.net and I will give you my phone #.
ReplyDeleteNice to hear your show was a success. Love this little "Perfect Fit" painting. The pear looks delicious.
