VW duo

I saw these two VW's parked side by side every day at the marina in Amelia Island. Was thrilled to get a picture of the cool looking owner with his beauties. Think it made for a fun painting. Painted it on an 8 x 16" gallery wrap canvas. sold

  3. Je vous félicite ma chère Carole pour cette peinture de la fameuse coccinelle. Dans ma jeunesse j'ai eu une telle voiture... sa couleur était différente, mais j'apprécie beaucoup l'ensemble des couleurs de votre toile.

  5. Carol, you are doing some great work. This one brings back memories. My parents had a VW bus/camper. The figure in this one adds a lot! Love the complementary color scheme.

  6. Very nice Carol! I have a soft spot for VW's, I had a 67 bug in college.. loved it! You're brave for taking on a car and a figure in the same painting! Great job.

  15. Oh boy! I sure love these old VW's. My mom, her best friend, and her three kids, and my mom's three kids...we'd all get into Annie's VW bug and go "bumming." At least one of us would climb into the well behind the back seat (this was pre-seatbelt requirement days). I've always loved old VW's, the vans and the beetles. I love the look of this guy too, still cool after all these years. What a perfect piece, Carol. Well painted, interesting composition and exuding such a great atmosphere!
