A new daily paintworks challenge.
This did not make for a relaxing Sunday paint session. I was so tight. I did love the idea of using a limited palette. Crazy how many beautiful colors you can get from burnt sienna, UM blue and Tite white. Lovely. Michael Naples is an incredible artist. I could never paint as realistically as he does. Even though he paints very realistically there is still a slight looseness and lots of personality in his work. This is painted on a 5 x 5 gallery wrap canvas.
I need to go take a nap now.
I love your painting and your title Carol. I don't think the challenge lends itself to a loose painting, it will be interesting to see what others come up with.ReplyDelete
This will be a great addition to the challenge page, such nice reflections.ReplyDelete
Love your post! Lovely colors in your painting. Well done!ReplyDelete
I like that your lighter has a sense of "bling" to it! Just a tad more shine:) I think it is wonderful! I am proud of the title too!
Nicely done with just the right amount of sparkle.ReplyDelete
The second one of these I have seen and also handled beautifully. I love the reflections in the lighter.ReplyDelete
You did a nice job with the lighter and limited palette. Fun Painting.ReplyDelete
Yes I agree, wasn't as easy as it first looked, you did a very good job though.ReplyDelete
Carol, I was looking over the challenges and picked the one I liked the best without looking at the names and it was yours!!!!! Great great job!ReplyDelete
REALLY good work on the Challenge! On of my faves of the group. Terrific values. I'm trying to get my nerve up to try this one. ;)ReplyDelete
