red's rovers

Took this photo back in the summer. Finally got around to painting it. I thought these pooches were so cute. The lady said she had adopted both of them. How could you resist those faces?
Her perfectly pedicured toenails were such a pleasant surprise when I looked at the photo.
This is painted on a 8 x 10 panel.sold

  1. Carol these are just fabulous, you have really captured a sense of their character. Your brushwork makes them seem so alive and vibrant. Bravo! I also have two little rescue dogs I can't imagine my life without them. They never criticize any of my paintings.

  4. Vous avez rendu à la perfection la frimousse de ces toutous, j'aime leur attitude. Ils sont les gardiens de leur élégante maîtresse.

  12. It's great catching up with your blog . . . you really captured their
doggie personalities. Love the lively brush work. Also love Sunflowers on a Rainy Day and Orange and Blue . . . always marvel at how simply you capture form even though some areas are left undone, like you just dashed it off! Wonderful!
