sunflowers on a rainy day

Painted this 6 x 8" yesterday. No luck photographing it because of the rain. I finally got a break in the rain today so that I could take it outside to photograph. If you look closely I think you will see a couple of raindrops.
I had a great Thanksgiving with my family. Glad to get back to painting after several days break. I am also busy preparing and packing my work for a three day art show I am taking part in in Nashville. Hope to squeeze in a couple of paintings before I leave. SOLD

    Les reflets de l'assiette avec le liseré dans les pommes me plaisent. L'association des formes rondes et anguleuses forme une parfaite opposition qui permet de donner de la valeur aux uns comme aux autres...

    Gosh this is good! I had to enlarge it to admire your work. I love the brushstrokes on the flowers, on the apples...and I love the bits of red on the plate and apple. Really great!

    I could actually reach into the canvas and pick up one of those apples. They look so so solid and have a real palpable presence/form. Really fantastic work Carol, well done!
