I found new owners for most of my colorful bowl paintings so I had fun painting one of my favorite subjects yesterday. This is painted on a 5 x 7 linen canvas.
Beautiful background color and your shallots and onion are beautifully done. The cool blue bowl really looks gorgeous with the surrounding warm colors.
I've really enjoyed catching up with your latest paintings---all really nice! Love the strong red against the sunny skyline of the marathon and this one seems so effortless and balanced. Your quick strokes really capture the onion's skin and the shallots. Merry Christmas!
Thanks for all the nice comments. I never get tired of painting these bowls so I am glad others seem to like them. They are not sold Katie. I have sold most of the other colorful bowl paintings so painting a new crop since I have several shows I am participating in beginning in Feb. I LOVE getting feedback from such wonderful artists as yourselves! Means a ton!
