This painting was so much fun. It is painted on a 20 x 30" gallery wrap canvas. This painting started out being a very involved still life set up. I am challenging myself to paint on larger canvases. I did not stick with the challenge very long. After struggling with painting and keeping the same character as my smaller paintings I wiped it off. No likey. I liked the tones that were left on the canvas and decided to play a bit. You know I love painting pears but have never tried them on such a large area. I likey.
Carol,
ReplyDeleteLove this- looks really BIG and like it was really fun. Great job- love the colors on the pears.
Wonderful!!!! 20 x 30---really big pears! Love all the glow and great color, especially that mysterious blue on the left side.
ReplyDeleteI likey too! Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAfter painting so many small paintings I find it hard to paint on larger canvases and get impatient, so I know how you feel. These pears look lovely and I think you were right to simplify the composition.
ReplyDelete3 pears...my favorite subject. Well done and fresh. Great color and beautiful contrast with your background in all the right places.
ReplyDeleteLOVE THESE PEARS ......
ReplyDeleteI love pears, too! They always remind me of people. The two on the right are snuggling. Great colors in this one. Radiant!
