Could not think of a title for this painting so it is named after the store that carried the vases in the painting. Love the colors and shapes. I broke a blue vase a few months ago that I loved to include in set ups. I sold every painting that ever had the vase in it. Still trying to find a replacement.
The next post you see of mine should be from Hilton Head. Will be doing figurative work with Karin Jurick. She has been a hero of mine for such a long time so I am over the top excited. I will try and share some tips with you as I learn them.
Have a great weekend!SOLD
This is painted on a 5 x 7" linen canvas.

I love how free and loose and expressive and unfussy your paintings are! It's a treat to visit your blog and then try to incorporate that essence into my own paintings.ReplyDelete
Thanks SOOO much! Trying!ReplyDelete
Carol, just love following your work. So fabulous. There is such a liveliness, yet ease to it. Can't wait to see whats next.ReplyDelete
Beautiful depiction of the light Carol! Thank you for the welcome to Fresh Paint, I am so excited to be a part of this group! Enjoy Hilton Head! I have a foster pug who lives there in high style with her mom and dad now. : )ReplyDelete

Carol, these last two paintings are just beautiful! Have fun at your workshop in Hilton Head, right across the river from my home town - Savannah. I'm so jealous!!!ReplyDelete

I love the shapes in this too Carol, you have been busy creating lots of beautiful work!ReplyDelete
Thank you all for your kind comments. They mean so much! In Hilton Head now and am so excited about workshop tomorrow. Feel like a kid waiting for Christmas.ReplyDelete
Your paintings are so rich with dark values and beautiful color.ReplyDelete
This painting is glorious, Carol! Fresh unspoiled brushwork. Way to go!ReplyDelete
Gorgeous! I love the way the pinks travel across the canvas.ReplyDelete
Hi Carol, your paintings are great! O love your colors and composition. I also like your looseness in the brush stroke. I am adding you to my blog.ReplyDelete
What a wonderful piece!!! Just gorgeous!ReplyDelete
Love hearing your feedback. So appreciated!ReplyDelete
Great brushwork and nice composition!ReplyDelete
Did you see Carol marine's latest painting? Similar color scheme, but without the neutrals. I commented that I'm fascinated by avoiding "sweetness" when working with pink. I really like the addition of the neutrals; they are beautiful. The looseness of this painting conveys confidence and enthusiasm. Keep up the good work (I know you will)!ReplyDelete
Nice value and color. Have a great workshop with Karin. Look forward to hearing about it.ReplyDelete
