vidalias and peppers

Have not had a lot of time to paint the last couple of days because my boys have been home. Wonderful distraction. Painted this set up late yesterday. I enjoy painting on elongated canvases. I think it makes the composition more fun. this is painted on a 6 x 12" canvas.

  1. Very nice, Carol. Alot of my painting are on 4 x 10 which I love too. This one of yours is beautiful.

  2. Carol,
I like your paintings very much. Studying the little painting above makes me realize that your brushwork and the way you handle the paint is your gift for creating such beauties.

  4. I too love the slightly unusual canvas sizes like this one. This is a wonderful piece, made more so by the fact that I do love onions! What a fabulous kitchen piece!

  5. Beautiful study, Carol! You've really captured the spectrum of color in the onions. As a Georgia girl, I love the flattened shape (and taste!) of the vidalias!

  6. I like this format, too. Love your color choices in this one--I think the green in the onions ties into the green of the peppers. Very nice!
