tucker
I was flipping through my photos yesterday and found this one of my dog Tucker. Tucker has been at summer camp with my parents in North Carolina for most of the summer. He is my dog but my parents enjoy him so much that I share him. He loves lying on their porch in NC that overlooks a walking path around a lake. He is not a barker but now and then when he sees a dog he thinks he can take he will make a low growl. Not loud enough for the dog to hear mind you. He does not even lift his head off the porch to growl at the dog. T hat takes too much energy. Anyway... Tucker and my parents are coming home in a couple of days so I am very excited to get him back and see his grandparents.
Painted this on a 6 x6" cradled gesso board.

Tucker looks very cute! I love the colors you chose.
ReplyDeleteLoose, impressionistic, and colorful and reminds me of our dog, Missy, unfortunately no longer with us. Thanks for the memory!
ReplyDeleteCarol, great brushwork, love the abstraction. I have a Tucker, he's a cocker (spaniel, that is) soo laid back - a bit on the lazy side.
ReplyDeleteI also had a Tucker, his name was Prize and like Ann's Missy is no longer with us either. You've given me some fond memories also-very very special! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous Tucker you have painted here. Love in every stroke; that is obvious. Love the background colors!
