What are you looking at?

Just got back from a visit with my mother in law who lives on a farm in east Tennessee. Beautiful area. Rolling green hills with the Smoky mountains in the distance.
I was able to get up close and personal with a few cows during my visit. This one belongs to my Uncle Don. I think he has such an interesting face. He was really staring me down. There were no bulls in the pasture so I felt safe to walk around the cattle. It was a little scary when a couple of them started following me pretty closely on my way out.
This is painted on a 12 x12" gallery wrap canvas.Posted by Picasa

  1. Great painting! Reminds when I would go with my grandfather to feed the cattle. I would stay in the car and cows would come to the window to say hello. Fun! :-)

  2. Cows just have the gentlest faces, don't they? You've painted this one's portrait beautifully, Carol. I think Tennessee is indeed a most beautiful state.

  3. "Bemootiful" cow painting! Heading to that part of Tennessee soon to visit friends..looking forward to the beautiful scenery. Thanks for your blog note and when you are in town, try to stop by the ACA show that will be up all month...awards night this Friday. All your posted work has been spectacular..keep at it!
