Kentucky blues

I squeezed out a bit of time between trips to paint. Maybe after this upcoming trip I will get back in the swing of things. I just returned from a week long work trip in Tennessee with the youth in my church. We work through Appalachian Service Project to help make folks homes warmer, safer and drier. I took the reference photo for this during last year's trip.
Headed to Boston in a couple of days for the Susan G Komen walk this weekend. Would appreciate any prayers. Thank you to so many who supported the cause. My six person team has raised over $22,000.00 for breast cancer research. Whoo hoo!

    Wonderful painting! Reminds me of Tennessee or Alabama... straw hat and a banjo!

    Love your composition, Carol. Have a great time in Boston, and thanks for what you're doing for breast cancer research. I have a very good friend who has walked for 8 years in the Avon walk. This year she's walking as a survivor. She's doing great. Our generation is so fortunate that current treatment makes breast cancer survivable. God bless you.

    What a sweet boy! I always love seeing kids doing something constructive and interpretive rather than doing nothing but video games and tv. Beautifully painted, Carol. Wishing you much luck this coming weekend. Hoping the heat settles a bit for you too. Stay hydrated!
