I squeezed out a bit of time between trips to paint. Maybe after this upcoming trip I will get back in the swing of things. I just returned from a week long work trip in Tennessee with the youth in my church. We work through Appalachian Service Project to help make folks homes warmer, safer and drier. I took the reference photo for this during last year's trip.
Headed to Boston in a couple of days for the Susan G Komen walk this weekend. Would appreciate any prayers. Thank you to so many who supported the cause. My six person team has raised over $22,000.00 for breast cancer research. Whoo hoo!
This is painted on a 6 x 12" canvas.
Wonderful painting! Reminds me of Tennessee or Alabama... straw hat and a banjo!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your success in raising money for breast cancer research! I applaud you and your team!
! love the format and composition of this darling piece Carol!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your walk and congratulations on raising so much for such an important cause!
Woo hoo on both counts! The painting and the walk for breast cancer. You go girl!!
ReplyDeleteCarol, hope you have good weather for the walk this weekend, congratulations on such a fabulous fundraiser. Love this "Kentucky Blues" painting!
ReplyDeleteLove your composition, Carol. Have a great time in Boston, and thanks for what you're doing for breast cancer research. I have a very good friend who has walked for 8 years in the Avon walk. This year she's walking as a survivor. She's doing great. Our generation is so fortunate that current treatment makes breast cancer survivable. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteBoy, did I miss your paintings and your postings. I love this painting and 'Yea' for the KOMEN WALK.
