emma

 This was the year of painting labs for me.  Think I painted four or five this Christmas. Emma belongs to one of my friend's daughters.  The final painting is a bit different from this because we decided to unfold her right ear.  I did not get a chance to photograph it but we both liked it a little better.  This is painted on an 8 x 10"canvas.sold

    Great job - I'm amazed at how many of my friends have yellow labs! I love painting them - they're almost architectural. Emma's portrait is sure to be a focal point in their home!

    She is a beautiful Lab, Carol. I've seen that same expression on all of my dogs at one point or another. Hope your friend's daughter loved this gift!

    absolutely WONDERFUL!! Labs are my second favorite and only because i've been spending time with these two little incredible pug critters. such a lovely painting! beautifully done.

    Labs are like the all-American dog. Nice and squarish. You caught the light beautifully but what sells this to me is the amazing eyes. You caught the subtle life in them. Well done :)
