It is so fun to look back through my photos and find an image that is several years old and realize it could make a nice painting. These were a couple of my sister's roosters that look like they were dancing. I added the original image below to show that the photo is just a jumping off point. A green background would have been pretty boring . This is painted on an 11 x 14" gallery wrapped canvas.
Love the brushstrokes of bold COLOR...So NICE!!!
ReplyDeleteUne très jolie interprétation... Des coqs superbes aux couleurs extraordinaires...

What vivid colors! Just love it, Carol!
ReplyDeleteWonderful interpretation Carol, love the color!
ReplyDeleteGreen is never boring to me but I sure do love the background you gave these two as well. I am reminded of the French nobility in all their finery dancing (as seen through the movies, that is). Excellent piece, Carol.
ReplyDeleteGreat post and wonderful painting. You capture their dance beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI love your strokes! So deliberate and mindful.. but still so playful! Great job! I always love getting your posts in my mail box. A great way to start my day.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Susan
Great roosters! I like your painting better than the photo, you've added so much life to the scene!
