I took the photo reference for this in Balsam Mountain, North Carolina. My parents have a house not far from this area and I spotted this herd on my way up last week. I got some great photos and look forward to painting several of the pictures. This is painted on a 24 x 24 x 2" canvas.
I am headed to Tallahassee, Florida tomorrow afternoon to participate in the LeMoyne Chain of Parks Art Show Saturday and Sunday. Would love to see you if you are in the area. I will be the one with all the cows in my booth.sold

Super! The neutral background colors give it a peaceful feel. I love seeing it in the easel too.ReplyDelete
Beautiful! I do not know my cow breeds, but for some reason, I think you could make a killing if you had a booth at a Thresherman's show in farming areas. Wouldn't dairy farmers love these? I know I do!ReplyDelete
Just absolutely great! You put so much soul into your paintings, Carol, and I love the sweet humor of the animals' expressions!ReplyDelete
