cocky

Happy Labor day.  Hope you are not having to labor today.
I thought I would include my reference photo for this painting. The photo was blurry but if you like what is going on you can still make it work.  He has been my muse for many paintings. He can't help but be cocky.
This is painted on a 6 x 6 x 1 1/2" canvas that I primed black.sold

  1. He is definitely cocky! Love this guy! It's so interesting to see how you got this from a blurry photo. Thanks for sharing that.

  2. Wow... and you got that awesome painting from a blurry photo! You have inspired me to try painting my chickens. I had them for several years and have many photos of them. Mine won't be nearly as artistic as yours but it's as start! I really enjoy visiting your blog and seeing your art, Carol.

  4. Well done, Carol! You are amazing to be able to put in all the color and value nuances from a photo that may not be the ideal. I love the painting!
