I know most people think I am a schitzo painter but I just paint what makes me happy. Painting new subjects keeps it fresh to me. This is one of my Boston ladies. I never tire of looking at the pictures I took this summer. I feel like the pictures were a reward for doing all that walking for the Susan G Komen walk. Being able to participate in the walk was so rewarding but my bathing beauty pictures were a bonus. This one is painted on a 4 x 12" gallery wrap canvas.
Love this Boston lady! Water and reflections are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteKeep changing things up. I like the variety!
I hope that when we're her age, people will call us bathing beauties!
ReplyDeleteLove the reflection and the casualness of the pose. Such a fun painting!
ReplyDeleteCarol, you need to do a book of all your Boston ladies! They just get better and better. Love how you handled the sand in this one -- just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou're not a schitzo! Versatile is what I'd call it. Another nice piece. Paint on!
ReplyDeleteWhat makes me happy is the someday someone might look at me and not be offput by age and weight. I guess it'll take an artist, yes? Another fabulous piece, Carol!!
ReplyDeleteIf "schitzo" means: fun, light hearted, joyful, colorful, painterly, happy....then, yes, that's what you are!!!!
ReplyDeleteNext time you are in the Boston area, look me up! Would love to paint with you. I love this series. You captured that wonderful body language and the treatment of the water is awesome!
ReplyDeleteNOT schitzo but just funny and very talented!
ReplyDeleteI really like your ladies Carol. I will look for you in Fairhope!
