Wow. The creative juices were flowing for this title. It's hard when you have painted basically the same set up three times in a row. But...this one is HUGE. 18 x 24". I struggle to keep the same character on larger canvases. I think I am happy with this. I honestly can not see the image as well as I would like because I am using my laptop. I broke down and replaced my 7 year old dell desktop with an apple that don't know how to use very well. Yep, it goes back to me not being patient enough to figure it out. I am getting there. Sorry if this is a bad photo.
Enough of the beautiful bowls for a while. I have a couple of photos that I am excited about painting.
Carol, beautiful painting and I know it's big for your painting preferences. Congratulations on the purchase of an Apple, think you'll grow to love it without too much of a learning curve. We've gone totally Mac, desktop and laptop, and never "looked back"! Hope the weekend show went well, Ann.
ReplyDeleteAnother winner...I'm impressed that you've managed to keep such a strong presence of yellow without it becoming overpowering and detracting from the interest provided by the objects. It's a v accomplished set up.
ReplyDeleteThe photo is just fine. Would love to know how you progress with the Apple. My Sony vaio is causing my some trouble (never get one) and I'm thinking of going in the Apple direction next...
Love the painting - always look forward to seeing what comes off your easel next. What an inspiration you are. Another winner indeed!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite of the bowl compositions (tell the truth; you are on the payroll of the maker of those bowls, yes? LOLOL), I think. Truly a bounty here, color and form. I really am wanting a setting dishes just like those bowls! Crockery!
ReplyDeleteThis has been a beautiful "bowl" series! And I'm so excited you've gotten a Mac. I feel certain you'll love it. That's all Sam and I have worked on for the last fifteen years. I think the hardest part for a PC convert is realizing how intuitive a Mac is - it's much more artist-friendly! Can't wait to see what you paint next...
ReplyDeleteYou do such beautiful work. I haven't seen one that I didn't like. I love how you painted the background...making the bowls pop out.
ReplyDeleteI love your encouragement! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteThis is by far my favorite! What a great job you did on the glass and these bowls great!
