One of my favorite things about the Fall are bittersweet berries. I usually visit western North Carolina during this time and am always on the lookout for a vine so that I can take some cuttings home. I actually ordered some seeds recently and am going to try and grow some vines. I had to learn all about scarifying and stratifying. It is fun to learn something new. I feel very Martha Stewartish with seeds in my refrigerator.
I just returned from an art show in Memphis. It was a great show even though the weather was not the best. A lot of folks came out in their rain gear on Sunday. I made some new friends and several of my paintings found new homes. My next show is November 7 and 8 at Chastain Park in Atlanta.
"bittersweet" is painted on a 30 x 40 x 2" canvas.
