peace

This is the first day I have gotten back to painting after losing my father.  My Dad had been pretty sick since Christmas. I am thankful to have been able to spend lots of time with him before he died last Sunday.  He was a great man and loved by many but nobody more than his family.  He was very proud of what I was doing with my art and I am grateful to him for much of my creativity.  Sold

  4. Oh Carol, I am so sad to hear of the loss of your dad. My dad passed away when he was 47 in 1985, and it still hurts this many years later. Your dad looks a wonderful man, a gentle spirit. I love how you've the cow resting in the field; it definitely denotes a peace and a restfulness. Please accept my sincere condolences and sympathies.

  7. So sorry for your loss. Yesterday, my parents celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary--what a blessing. It is difficult to think of life without them--so my prayers go out to you during this difficult time.

  8. It's a hard, hard loss and even almost 10 years out I'm still painfully missing my own Dad. You are a good daughter and he was proud of you. I'm sure you eased his journey, and he was grateful for your love. Peaceful bovine, too….
