This last two weeks has been kind of a whirlwind. We moved from an apartment into our house, traveled to an art show in Nashville and then my sweet mother had her knee replaced on Monday so I have spent lots of time with her and my Dad. I have not really had time to set my studio up properly but I wanted to share some pictures with you for now.
This top photo is the view out of my front, studio window. The studio is located above our detached, two car, garage. I put track lighting in the stairway so that I can display work along the walls. I have a shelf that the 3 x 3' cow painting is propped on. I also added this same shelving along some walls in the studio.
The open door you see in one of the top pictures leads into a bathroom and the other door goes into my storage room. There are storage shelves on one side of the room and drawers, counter space and a work sink on the opposite wall.
I used a weathered wood laminate for the floors. I have a bonus storage closet for ALL the STUFF I have. That may be my favorite part and it was not really planned.
I am still in the crazy, busy stage but I got internet today and wanted to say hello and share some pictures. I look forward to painting again. I am going to try and squeeze some in before long. I miss all my blog artists and friends.
