all in

I took the photo reference for the painting at North Street beach in Chicago.  I had to edit out a few folks because he was not as alone as he appears.  He had a couple of hundred friends.
Lake Michigan is crazy the way it resembles ocean water.  My son lives a couple of blocks from this beach.  Lucky guy.  Such a great place for people who like to run, walk, swim, or bike.
This is painted on a 16 x 20" gallery wrapped canvas.  I am still enjoying painting on the linen colored canvases.  I like the way the paintbrush drags across the surface.sold

  2. We've had quite a few deaths this year in the Lake. So sad. But it is one huge and beautiful lake, for sure. I just love the freedom of laying in the surf this little guy feels. Such a wonderful and unique beach scene, Carol.
