I was giddy the whole time I was painting this longhorn. I usually start with the eyes when I am painting animals. If you can capture the life in them it is smooth sailing after that. He was staring at me with that hound dog look as I painted. This is a large 4 ' x 4' x 2" canvas.
I took this image when I visited Oregon last Fall. The bluebonnets were added for a Texas slant. I was juried into the Woodlands Waterway Show in Houston for my animals so that is what I will be exhibiting at the show.
Woodlands...near where a son and family live...and my daughter in law works in the Woodlands. Will you be there for the show and when is it? We are heading down there in a few weeks for a granddaughters presentation event and would certainly stop by if you were going to be there!
ReplyDeleteYes Ann. I will be there for the show April 10-12. Would LOVE to see you!
