This is a commission piece for a friend of a friend. This is a picture of Tanya's Dad who passed away in 1981. Two of his big loves were the Yankees and sailing. The photo was such a classic that I had to take it on even after I told her I don't do faces. (A personal choice so that I will still have hair on my head. I would rather be a coal miner than a portrait artist.)
I was taken by his strong jawbone and determined look. This is painted on an 11 x 14" gallery wrapped canvas.sold
