glisten II

I have been busy since my shows catching up on commission work.  I am not able to post some because they are surprize gifts.  This painting is for a friend I have never met who lives in North Carolina. Denise has a beach house that could one day become a museum that features my work if I become famous or more likely commit a crime that makes the national news.  She has ALOT of my paintings and this is the first of four new paintings I am doing for her.  She has several boy paintings and is trying to make her daughter feel a little better by commissioning me to paint some girl paintings.
I have painted "glisten" before. This one is painted on a 12 x 16" gallery wrap and is a bit different from the original. Although I always work from my own photos, I can not guarantee the same outcome when I paint  it again.  It is usually pretty close.sold

  2. I'm betting that you become the famous artist before you commit the crime that makes national news. Love your color choices in the water and sand and of course, your figure is spot on!
