mickey blue eyes and prince

My friend did not tell me which one was Mickey blue eyes.  This is a piece she commissioned to give her husband for his birthday.  We were neighbors when we were both newleyweds.  One of  my fondest memories of him was how he was so patient with our dog Clyde. Clyde would continuously drop sticks in the path when he was mowing.  He would always pick up the stick and throw it and Clyde would bring it right back to him.  I bet these dogs are well loved and cared for.

Speaking of well loved.... I am crazy about my new friend Ruthie. I am going to be honest and tell you that I do not usually care for cats.  I mostly decided to get a cat to help keep critters away.  Well.....no critters better get close to my Ruthie.  This has been such a pleasant surprise. She is bringing me so much happiness and laughter.  She is slowing my painting down a little because she wants to be in my lap.    My sons are tired of getting text pictures of her.  The one that has met her understands.

  2. Love the dogs and their sweet faces but Ruthie is the best! What a pretty kitten. I am so allergic that I can't have my own so I will have to adopt Ruthie and live vicariously through you! Can't wait to see a painting of her! Meow!

  3. What a great painting. I wish they'd told you which one was Mickey Blue Eyes! And what a sweet baby! You are going to be surprised at the relationship you get with your kitty. Ruthie is beautiful! I neve thought much about cats till I met my boyfriend's (now husband's) cat... and then I was hooked. I have rarely been without a cat. Now I have an 'a.m.' and a 'p.m.' cat. One is velcro in the morning, the other takes me from 4 p.m. on through the night. I look forward to seeing a painting or hundred of her...

  4. Mickey Blue Eyes is on the left. His eyes are so blue! He is a Dapple Dachshund and they sometimes have one or two blue eyes. Mickey is 5 and Prince (on the right is 11). LOVE the painting and I know my husband will be very surprised and thrilled! (And we still miss Clyde! I remember he loved to fetch rocks, too! When I got home from work every day, he was lying in our driveway by our mailbox waiting for me....

  5. Funny Judy. I was being silly with that comment. Mickey is appropriately named. The blue eyes are very striking.
Clyde fetched rocks too? I remember Ben and Clint doing that but I did not realize Clyde was that desperate. You and Mark were so sweet to us AND the crazy dog.

J'aime l'expression dans le regard de chacun de ces toutous. Une satisfaction qui doit aussi se lire dans les yeux de votre client.
