gatherer

I fit one last painting in before a week of travel.  I am riding with my son Clint to Chicago tomorrow.  He starts a new job in a week.  Looking forward to getting him settled and checking out the sites. I am in Chicago for most of the week and then flying to visit another son Ben who has recently moved to Kissimmee, FL.  I am sad that they do not live closer but happy that they live in fun places to visit.

This is painted on a 16 x 20" gallery wrap canvas.  I have recently started painting on some clear primed linen canvases and
I like the way the colors pop.  Thank you Nancy Franke!sold

  6. What a beautiful palette, my favorite in fact. Love when the kids play in the shallows like this. They just get lost in their own little world. You'll love Chicago, Carol. Lots to see, lots to do. Hopefully you will see Buckingham Fountain at night when the light show goes on. And of course, a boat ride on the Lake is one of my favorite things to do as well.

  7. Beautiful painting - love the colors! (My son is moving to Chicago for a new job too. Love to go there! While I will miss him a ton, it will be nice to have a place to stay!)

  8. Carol - I love where your brushwork is going. It's starting to remind me of Lane Bannion and Doug Braithwaite - strokes of color with purpose! I'm still trying to get there myself, but I really love what you are doing. :) Have a fun trip!
