wild blue yonder

I struggled with this youngster.  Worked hard to get the values right.  I was drawn to his hair and the confident stride he was taking into the water.  This is painted on a 5 x 7" raymar linen panel.  My favorite surface of all time.

  1. I would say the struggle was well worth it! I am loving the trail of light from his hair through his trunks and down his leg...awesome! Yup- can feel the confidence! Well painted. And...I love linen too!!

  2. I agree with Kathy. Struggle was worth it. I love the light you captured on him and the water

  3. Truly stellar water again, Carol. I love this one, maybe the painting itself, maybe your thoughts as you painted it, maybe because he could be Brad Pitt's son heading in so bravely. Or all of the above wrapped into a lovely piece.

  4. If you struggled.....it doesn't show. It looks like it was painted a confidently as he is striding into the water. Wonderful piece.

  5. J'aime cette peinture... Votre jeune garçon a ce côté sauvage qui lui donne un charme fou. Une très jolie peinture aux couleurs vibrantes sous la lumière.
    Gros bisous
