eula

I might have broken some rules with this composition. Whatever. I like it. This is probably my favorite lady that I photographed in Boston. You have seen her in earlier paintings. She has obviously gotten to that comfortable place in life where you don't really care what you look like in a bathing suit anymore. No bottom, breasts down to your navel and protruding stomach. I'm glad I'm not there yet but I hope I can be this proud when I am. This is painted on a 6 x 6" gallery wrap canvas.sold

  1. Good for you for breaking the rules; a job well done! I have thoroughly enjoyed these Boston ladies and look forward to many, many more...broken rules and all.

  2. Carol, of all these beach paintings this is my favorite. The composition, though not traditional and outside "the box" has a narrative that I find very interesting! I'm curious too how you know her name? Really great job!

  4. Gorgeous beach waters and rules are made to be broken they say. I like the asymmetry of the composition. And I'm with you on the aging thing. Alas, I'm probably closer to looking like this lady than I am the slim number I used to be. Sigh...
