lavender beauty

Well...the first day's attempt at painting a figure from life. Nancy Chaboun did a demo in the morning and made it look very easy. I actually had more fun than I thought I would. We had beautiful models to work from. Nancy put this funky wreath in her hair but I think it looks pretty nice in the painting. This is painted on a 11 x 14" canvas.

  2. I love it! I am taking Peggy Kroll Roberts workshop next week so will be doing the live model thing as well. I doubt I will post mine as I expect it to look something like a gremlin. Gorgeous work Carol.

  4. Love seeing this and you are doing a great job. Of course, you are multi-talented in the art department and can paint anything. I think lavendar beauty looks great. Love the softness! By the way, where are you? Where is the workshop being held?

  5. Beautiful painting. You did great on the skin tones and values. I like the dark background. The light on the dress looks great against it.
