one day

This painting is based on three photographs I took last weekend in New Orleans. There were a group of musicians on Royal street and the little boy was part of it. I think he was just there for the cute factor. He was holding the trumpet upside down most of the time. I think? You musicians may correct me. He looks a little older in my rendition of him. He was still wearing diapers. The background is just a loose interpretation of a building I saw. This is a large painting for me. It is painted on an 18 x 36" gallery wrap canvas.

  3. They look like they were quite the theatrical group. I would love to go there just to experience the music and food. (by the way it's a trombone ;)

  5. Is the little kid holding a trombone? Thought it was a trumpet. Only one in my family who is not a musician.

  6. Une belle composition avec cette scène de rue qui nous subjugue toujours... vous avez parfaitement su transcrire cette atmosphère dans cette peinture. Les couleurs sont superbes et j'aime particulièrement l'attitude de ce musicien qui se donne entièrement...
