handsome heifer

I know I said I was not going to paint another cow. I lied.
I am getting ready for a one day art show next Saturday. The Mountain Brook art association is having it's 30th annual Spring art show. Eighty or so artists are participating. There will be no kettle corn there so bring your own . My machine and corn cob hat have not arrived yet.
I hope Mt Brookians like cows. This one is painted on a 6 x 6" cradled panel.ssold

  1. Oh, he is a handsome one:) I really like the touches of blue near the eye and really like his mouth. There are those fabulous ears again. I just really like this one. You always make me smile- want to see a picture when the corn cob hat arrives:) Best of luck with this show!

  5. Your strokes and color are really tremendous in this one, Carol. The green in the background has just enough red to make it work perfectly with the cows coat. Really beautiful.

  12. Very nice, really like the back lighting of the cow and the crisp highlights arond the edges. I grew up in a dairy town and the serenity of the animals is very special. Good work.

  18. Carlo, I love your cow paintings - you capture their personalities, and your light is beautiful!. You must live close to cows, which makes me very envious!
